How to apply for an MBE Skillnet funded place on MA Early Childhood Studies

Midland Border East Skillnet (MBE Skillnet) are delighted to partner with the Portobello Institute for the following programme: MA Early Childhood Studies. 

Who is MBE Skillnet?

Midland Border East Skillnet is a national, multi-sectoral learning network encompassing companies of all sizes.

Their key focus is on the needs of member companies, to identify and drive training and upskilling across all sectors, to meet business, people, and performance needs of members.

They offer funding towards upskilling in programmes across a wide variety of disciplines. 

To apply for funding, the company you work for is required to become a member of MBE Skillnet network. There is no cost associated and membership is open to all private sector companies, from all industries and sectors throughout Ireland.

You will also be required to apply to Portobello Institute for your programme of choice and we will confirm you meet the entry criteria with MBE Skillnet. You will then be required to pay directly to MBE Skillnet the deposit/fees due for the course and MBE will pay Portobello Institute directly on your behalf. 

Step by step - How to apply for an MBE Skillnet funded place? 

  1. Enquire through Portobello Institute about programme of choice and entry criteria. 
  2. Become a member company of MBE Skillnet and apply to Portobello Institute for a programme place. 
  3. Portobello Institute will confirm your eligibility and offer you a place on the programme. 
  4. Portobello Institute will confirm your eligibility to MBE Skillnet. 
  5. Pay deposit/fees to MBE Skillnet. 
  6. MBE Skillnet confirm payment of deposit/fees. 
  7. Portobello Institute will confirm place on programme. 
  8. MBE Skillnet pay Portobello Institute.
