She has worked extensively with children aged 0-18, supporting their speech, language, communication and dysphagia needs, often within interdisciplinary teams.
Her clinical expertise is complemented by her leadership experience as Clinical Director at Kids Speech Labs, where she led innovative digital health projects and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams across Ireland and the UK.
Her passion for education is evident in her work as a lecturer and practice tutor, having developed and delivered curricula for speech and language therapy assistants at Portobello Institute and coordinated clinical placements for students at Trinity College Dublin.
Lindsay’s teaching style is dynamic and inclusive, incorporating direct instruction, role-play, patient narratives and reflective practice.
Lindsay’s research interests lie in person-centred care and digital health innovation. She has presented widely at national and international conferences, and her published work includes contributions to academic books.
Her lived experience as a caregiver to her autistic son who is a cancer survivor, deeply informs her advocacy for compassionate, person-centred healthcare.
As a result, Lindsay is passionate about person-centred care and was awarded a PhD scholarship with TUDublin to explore healthcare professionals’ journeys in understanding and practicing person-centred care (ongoing).
A CORU-registered therapist and member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists, Lindsay also serves as a lived experience reviewer for the International Journal of Integrated Care.
