Portobello Institute is committed to making education accessible so you can fulfil your potential in the career you want.
Advanced entry to degree programmes at Portobello Institute is possible under different circumstances across our departments.
We believe in fast tracking your path to success if you are in the position to do so by interpreting your past qualifications and experience and on a case by case basis granting advanced entry into year two or three of our programmes.
Sports Virtual Open Evening June 22nd at 6 pm - Register Here.
Advanced entry through recognition of your prior learning and experience comes with a range of benefits.
- Fast track your journey to success. Advanced entry saves you time and money. If you start your degree in year two or three you pay less fees and spend less time studying to achieve the same, quality qualification.
- Achieve your career goals faster. If you know what you want and you are choosing the course for the career you want, it can feel like a long time coming as you wait to finally get qualified. Advanced entry gets you to this point faster, getting you out into the working world as soon as possible.
- Feel pride in your achievements to date. Using your qualifications to date to gain advanced entry into your degree of choice will give you a sense of pride in the work you have done so far. Rather than repeating the same or similar content again you can feel the value of the study you have already completed paying off by advancing straight into the next step.
- Save money. Portobello Institute’s degree schedules are already condensed to be delivered over three years and if you can gain advanced entry this means studying for even less time to gain your degree, saving you money over the course of your studies.
Anyone can apply for advanced entry to a degree programme at Portobello Institute. All you need to do is get in touch with our admissions department and they can assess your situation one-to-one.
