Aviation managers are able to effectively communicate knowledge of flight operations, adapt to changing conditions, plan and carry out programs, and work in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.  

Typical duties can include directing administrative and managerial functions, from budgeting and cost control to hiring and training. Ensuring airport personnel move passengers, luggage and freight through the airport efficiently. Overseeing compliance with airport policies and procedures and much more. 

As an aviation manager, you oversee flight plans, aircraft schedules, equipment maintenance, and flight crew management. You handle passenger communication protocols about flight issues and ensure accommodations are made or refunds given when flights are cancelled or delayed.
